Principal Wendy Kroupa
.
I am Wendy Kroupa and I am in my third year as the Lower Brule Elementary Principal. I was born and raised on a farm near Howard, South Dakota. I received my undergraduate degree in Elementary and Special Education from Dakota State University, my K-12 Administration degree from SDSU and am currently working on my doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis on Special Education from USD and hope to have that completed in the spring of 2024. I have taught 3rd grade, 4th grade, and K-8 special education for many years. I have also been the director of two different daycare and preschools, so I have experience working with children of all ages.
My husband and I have a farm/ ranch north of White Lake. Our blended family includes eight children, three (soon to be four) in-law children, and five (soon to be six) precious grandbabies. I enjoy reading, refurbishing/ recreating furniture and spaces within our home, and helping on the farm and with the 4-H cattle.
I am very humbled to be a part of the Lower Brule School family. I continue to learn and grow right alongside our students.
If there is anything I can do to help our students, school, or community, please reach out to me.
Mrs. Wendy L. Kroupa
